My Computer Starts With A Blue Screen And Wont Start Up?

When I turn my personal on a get a blue screen with white writing and I cannot go further than that. I have tried to restart it and log-in with safe mode but the problem is still there and I cannot get past the blue screen saying something about newly added hardware?
I’ve only merely re-installed my personal and do not desire to loose all my files again. Help?

I merely installed a untried itunes on a different computer, and I desire to manually sync some videos to my ipod. What I require to know if if I plug my ipod into the computer(which is FILLED with my music) will it begin to synchronize right away to the empty itunes list? I do not desire to loose my music on there! How do I make sure that doesn’t happen?
