My Computer Starts With A Blue Screen And Wont Start Up?

When I turn my personal on a get a blue screen with white writing and I cannot go further than that. I have tried to restart it and log-in with safe mode but the problem is still there and I cannot get past the blue screen saying something about newly added hardware?
I’ve only merely re-installed my personal and do not desire to loose all my files again. Help?

The blue screen of death, also known as the blue screen of doom or simply blue screen, is one of the most notorious error messages in Windows based operating systems. To fix blue screen errors, you can safely assume that there’s something going seriously wrong in your operating system. Unfortunately for us, and even the highest trained computer technicians, fixing the blue screen of death isn’t always as simple as we’d like it to be, and it can take an obscure amount of PC knowledge to get to the root of the problem.

I had this problem several times before. First of all it depends on how many hard drives you have:
    1) if you only have one hard drive your hard drive might be broken or corrupt what i would do is try it on another computer and it that one wont work or if the hard drive id corrupt then you need another one.
2 or more) if you have more than one hard drive then the answer is simple just unplug one of your hard drives (NOT the one with your operating system on) and if it works then it is that but however if it still happens then it might be:
    a) one of your other hard drives is broken or corrupt–try on another computer or take some where to be tested e.g. where you purchased the hard drive from.
    b) your operating system hard drive is broken or corrupt–same as ‘a’ but if it is your operating system you wont be able to use on another computer without disconnecting the operating system from that first and putting your hard drive in its place.
    c) your operating system is corrupt (this may be the case as your have recently reinstalled your operating system)–unfortunately you may need to reinstall your operating system (re-format).

if you have got the windows disk load it up and then choose the repair option. it might wok.
Have you installed any new software?? might be worth checking inside the case to make sure everything sat in correctly.
    or
boot up. get into your bios and if the options there choose ‘optimized loadup’ or ‘default loadup’ also remove anything thats plugged into your pc via usb, this can sometimes help.
Then its just a case of updating the drivers for whatevers causing it.
    EDIT:
Failing that, the only solution would be a clean install.
You could partition the drive and install a fresh copy onto it.
Then boot up, and copy all your files over to the new installation. once down you can then go and combine the partitions once you format the old partitioned disk.

A Blue screen usually has to do with a hardware problem
Next time you boot up and see the blue screen quickly write down the error code that shows up on the screen
Send this code to the support department of your computer manufacturer
They will be able to tell you what to do
I had the same problem and they instructed me on what to do and it was fixed in no time

    BSOD!!!
    Blue Screen Of Death.
We’ve all had it. We all hate it. We’ll all have it again.
Say bye bye to your files and wipe that hard drive.
It reminds you of the importance of backing up your files!

If you still have your OS disc, put it in, (assuming this is XP) once all the files are loaded it should find your XP install, if this is the case do a repair, all programs are kept and so are your files. If this does not work download Knoppix, a free UNIX based OS, burn it to disc, and boot into it (runs off of RAM, doesn’t leave anything behind) and use it’s partition manager to make a new partition and back-up all your files, once this is done go back and reinstall XP over your OS partition (NOT your data one.)

It could be a bad Hard Drive. That is usually the most probable cause of a BSOD (Blue screen of death). It would really depend on what the error code it gives. If it says something like “Un-mountable_Boot_Volume” or something than it is definitely a bad Hard drive.

If you have recovery disks use them to restore it to a working state, if not reinstall a OS, or get support from the company you bought it from.
