My home personal is hooked up to a router. I would like to have access to my home computer’s webcam through my work computer.
My home personal is hooked up through a DSL modem and is always on.
My work personal obviously has access to the Internet.

Try this one, much easier http://www.logmein.com
A crude way to do it is…
Run ipconfig /all. This should give your computers IP. Capture that IP and you can install VNC on your computer. Once at work you could VNC into your home machine using the IP you noted down. Then you will gain access to your home machine and see the webcam there. What if the IP changes? Well for that there are applications available that will keep monitoring your computer’s IP and if it changes the application would email it to your id. You can also write a script that would run IP config every hour and email it to you. You can make the script to run every hour or so using nncron utility which is a utility that is used to run certain applications during appropriate times.
If you just want to see what your webcam is showing you can always use Yahoo IM on ur home computer and set it to show your webcam always.
Hope this helps.
Good Luck!!!

The best way to do this is to use Remote Access, which is standard in Windows XP. Both computers have to have XP. The only other option is to use some third party software which you would have to pay for.
